I just wrapped up three incredible days at EuroCIS 2025 in Düsseldorf, where the future of retail technology came to life! With 500 exhibitors no from 37 countries and over 14,000 attendees from 95 nations, this event truly showcased the latest trends and smart solutions shaping the retail landscape.
From the transformative power of artificial intelligence to seamless checkout experiences and innovative omnichannel strategies, it was inspiring to see how technology is driving efficiency and enhancing customer experiences. hashtag#GenerativeAI, like ChatGPT, is revolutionising how we think about retail processes—making them faster, smarter, and more customer-centric.
A few standout exhibitors stole the show:
VusionGroup : my good friends Thierry Gadou & Roy Horgan– Their innovative solutions truly set the bar high. The connected store will unleash ‘full-value’ retailing for both customer & retailer alike. Global No.1 in ‘beyond the ESEL’ Technology.
Diebold Nixdorf : my good friend Arvin Jawa, they are transforming the way people bank and shop while creating products that drive connected commerce.
Nedap Retail my good friends Tom & Nick & Paula- A leader in Digital Twin solutions, Nedap is bridging the physical and digital worlds across Healthcare, Retail, Security. Their technology stack—built on IoT, RFID, Vision, and SaaS—provides real-time insights to optimise operations, manage risks, and drive data-driven decisions. In short, Nedap’s Digital Twin Technology empowers organisations to operate more effectively.
The event also featured an engaging supporting program, with expert presentations and discussion panels that delved into pressing topics like food service innovation and cybersecurity. These areas are not just trends, but vital components for the future of retail. The Start-up hub was another standout, showcasing 18 promising companies with cutting-edge retail tech solutions.
Kudos to the organisers for an outstanding event! It was a privilege to connect with industry leaders, innovators, and visionaries. I’m excited to take these insights back to my work and explore how we can leverage these technologies for my partners.
Looking forward to EuroShop 2026 already!
